1. Use Hydrogen Power in Planning & Development of High Speed Rail as the Primer part in an Inter-modal Transportation Corridor for NAFT Between Alaska, Canada and Mexico.
Working in conjunction with Local, Regional Governments & Corporations.
2. To promote Commerce & Tourism & continue to provide a consolidated voice in Washington D.C. and at the state levels to promote both Intercity & Global Hydrogen Powered Transportation as a viable component of a true multimodal system.
To be effective this effort must result in meaningful programs being funded.
Be a leader in consolidating the various interest groups to which we currently belong and who are promoting various aspects of Hydrogen Powered Transportation investment.
3. Suport the High Speed Ground Transportation Association, the HSGTA was organized in 1983 to advocate the integration of high-speed ground transportation service in North America and world-wide as a necessary addition to existing transportation networks.
This is the only international organization with the sole purpose to promote the design, construction and operation of high-speed ground transportation systems.
High-speed rail is a generic name for a family of technologies, both steel-wheel on rail and magnetic levitation (maglev) systems.
Without a single passenger fatality in more than 30 years of operation in Europe and Japan, high-speed rail is the safest form of transportation in the world.
Integrating these systems requires a strong collaboration among industry interests. Our membership is among the most diverse of any similar organization.
4. Membership is open to all -- in any capacity -- who want to become involved in this potential $100 billion North American industry.
It includes international representatives from the:
Engineering & Design Professionals
Rail Equipment Companies
National State & Local Governments, Universities & Research Facilities.
